On Friday, we raised money for Comic Relief by celebrating Red Nose Day by all wearing red.
Comic relief raises money to help people who are in need, both in the UK and abroad. Thank you so much for all your support!
Check out the website to find out how much was raised altogether and who it’s going to help.
Once again, we celebrated how fantastic books are by dressing up as our favourite characters.
I love how creative both children and parents were with their ideas! All the children looked fantastic (thank you parents for all your help!)
Can you guess who’s who?
Year 3 have been exceptionally busy using our iPads to research the history of Cadbury’s!
We created our own timelines, starting all the way from 1824 up until now!
What interesting facts did you find out?
To celebrate Chinese New Year, which marks the start of the Year of the Pig, we enjoyed Chinese Tai Chi and fan dancing.
I am extremely proud of everything 3NG have achieved this half term! This morning we got to celebrate the achievements of some of those children, whether it be in Maths, Writing, Art or just by being their exceptional selves.
3NG, you’re all amazing – keep it up!
Today was the turn of the second half of 3NG to take a trip to the local library. They were fascinated by the pop up books we found and loved exploring books by their favourite authors using the alphabetised system.
It was lovely to see how many children are enthusiastic about reading and enjoy different books.
What’s your favourite book to read and why?
Mrs Robinson shared an exciting project ready for Science week after the holidays. Get thinking about potential projects and be as creative as you can!
Today, half of 3NG went to Hall Green library. They had a chance to explore the different areas of the library, looking at fiction and non-fiction texts. They enjoyed books on jewellery-making, sharks and even some exciting pop-up books. We just had time to share two books together.
Your project for this weekend is to find and photograph different flowers on Showbie, label their parts and voice record explaining what each part does. If you can’t remember, research their functions online.
You should label these parts:
If you can’t find any flowers at home or in the garden, save some pictures from the internet to label.
How to complete:
- Go onto the Showbie app.
- Class 3NG > Homework > Parts of a flower
- Press the + button to add/import a picture
- Crop and click yellow tick to upload.
- Click on item and start labelling.
We decided to travel back in time and turn ourselves into cave paintings. From designing our animal print clothes to creating weapons for our hands, our learning really came to life!
Here’s a few for you to enjoy:
